The Infamous Masterson’s , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my latest trip at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I found behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .
The State of Affairs: Filthy and Neglected Beyond Belief
From the moment I entered , it was clear that hygiene was not a priority at this bar . The ground was covered in grime , and a foul smell of decaying beverages and dirty bathrooms permeated the entire establishment . Smelling a mixture of urine , decay and illness . The counter , which should be the focal point of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and litter that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The restroom was in even a more revolting state — spilling over , with a shattered handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was fecal matter .
